Thank you to all of my followers

I have never acted my age, ask my children lol . I am sure they will have lots to say on that subject.

And yes there are days when my children try to parent me ..... I said they try

I remember the day I bought my Harley Davidson, I had just turned 50. I called my sons who were  33 and 32 at the time,over to see it. I got on it and fired it up and they both looked at each other and shook there heads. They looked like disappointed parents that just found out there kid wanted to be in a rock band instead of going to college. My son asked me once when I was going to start dressing like a grandmother, I had to laugh. I said sweetie when I start dressing like an old granny please shoot me.

I have never been a victim of fashion or a phony person, what you see is who I am. I usually speak my mind and yes sometimes I shouldn't but I still do it.
 

I live in harley shirts and blue jeans and I hate getting dressed up.

 

But decorating my home and being thrifty will flea market finds has always been something I have enjoyed. I may not put a lot of fuss into my wardrobe, but everything in my home has a story of its own and a past life. And although I am not a fluffy frilly kind of girl, I love pretty things in my home. I do not shop in new stores to decorate my home, I love old vintage and unique.

And I love giving new life to discarded items.

And that was a little about me that you maybe did not know. Hope you still want to follow me lol

I want to give a heart felt welcome to all of my new followers and say a huge thank you to my other followers who have stayed with me while I grow and learn with this blog.

Because I know most of you are very busy people and don't have time to read every post I have done in 2 years. I thought I would do a recap of pics to show you some of the things I have up cycled.

All of my pieces are painted with Anne Sloan chalk paint, I discovered her paints and waxes about 2 years ago and I have never looked back.

Every time I paint a piece I fall in love with her paints and colours more

I love the no priming and I love how it distresses

I have always painted my own stuff but it is only in the last year that I started to sell my pieces

Never did I think that I would be selling my stuff in stores

And when people message me and ask me to paint things for them I am truly flattered

When the girls that own the store where I sell my stuff told me people were coming in looking for stuff that I done I could not believe it

These last two years have been amazing

I am doing what I love and I am having such a fun time doing it

And I get to talk with all of you about it

And learn from you and grow

Life could not get any better

 

Life is not measured by the breaths you take

But by the things that take your breath away

 

All of the love the support and the friendship that has embraced me in these last two years
